Crafts - Halloween Village

We all love those pricey Halloween Village pieces but 

few of us can warrant spending the money on them.  

Enter DIY mode (HaHa)

I had some Christmas Village pieces that I was going to re-home but then I thought 'hey, why not re-purpose them.'  Now if you don't have any on hand, hit the dollar store!

First I sprayed the houses, some old candle holders we had 

and some trees black.

 

I used the candle holders and a couple of clear glass vases to create levels and added some cobweb to the houses.  I threw in a couple of skeletons for good measure. 

I did it quickly this year, but next year I will add some lights to create shadows and maybe some little plastic bats stuck to the wall behind to make it more eerie.  I saw bat rings and I think I may grab a bag of these and just cut off the ring part.  I may also add some people figurines to the display next year which I will cover their faces to protect them and then spray black as well.

Just like a Christmas Village - it is a work in progress.  

The possibilities only end where your creativity does!
